Welcome to Rockwood’s Art and Design Department, an environment which is energetic, vibrant and inspiring. Expectations are set high, creativity and imagination is encouraged.
We want our students to aim high. They are given the opportunity to explore a range of new skills, develop their ideas and refine their work. The department includes a Textiles room and an Art room. Equipped with computers, Photoshop, sewing machines, an array of materials and a kiln. Artwork is displayed throughout the school demonstrating the quality of students’ work
- Students are encouraged to express their ideas through independent study, creative collaboration with students and outside providers, practical work and personal reflection.
- We aim to provide our students with a holistic platform addressing current issues related to SMSC within Art and Design.
